CEO of Black Avenue Music (BAM), Desmond Kwesi Blackmore better known by his stage name D-Black, has refuted reports that newly appointed Head of Communications for Zylofon Cash and Zylofon Events, Halifax Ansah Addo has bailed Ghanaian musician Wisa with GHc10,000.00
The BAM record label signee, Wisa Greid was slapped with a fine of Gh¢8,400 or else serve 24 months in prison by an Accra Circuit Court on 30th April, 2018 for showing his penis on stage during a live performance at the “December to Remember” Concert organized by Citi FM on 24th December 2015 in Accra.
News broke some few hours after the judgment was pronounced that Halifax Ansah Addo has bailed Ghanaian musician Wisa with GHc10,000.00, but D-black told sammykaymedia.com that, he has not received any money from Halifax as circulated in the media, hence the record label bailed Wisa with their own money.
D-black backed his “no” response with a receipt showing payment of the fine in two installments, GHc5000 and GHc3400 which sums up to GHc8,400.
When Sammykaymedia.com contacted the editor for “The Publisher” newspaper Halifax Ansah Addo for clarification, he said he was touched to bail the “ekikimi” hit maker when the news broke, adding that,
“I did that due to the love for the industry and Wisa himself, only God knows the real truth”…..Halifax concluded.
So in this case, who truly bailed Wisa, D-black or Halifax?
