Member of Parliament for Tema West, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah, during an interview with Umaru Sanda on Citi fm’s Eye witness news admitted he has contracted the Corona virus but had to go to a registration center in his constituency to attend to a pressing issue which was in clear breach of the Covid-19 protocols.
His action has since been widely condemned by the public because he was putting a lot of people at risk of contracting the virus after he was asked by doctors to self isolate despite his asymtomatic status.
Due to his action, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, gave him an option to resign or get fired from his portfolio as Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.
He has today, Friday 3rd, July 2020 officially resign from his office and the office of the presidency has duely acknowledged his resignation and wished him well.
