Video: We need systems and structures not studios – Edem tells government

Ghanaian musician Denning Edem Hotor popularly known as Edem in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra Fm has stated that the NPP’s manifesto promise to creatives which focuses on building up studios in some selected regions is not the way to go in building up the industry.

As monitored by sammykaymedia.com, the rapper said he feels the creative industry needs proper systems and stuctures rather than studios because currently, there are studios everywhere and most of these underground artistes are able to access them and are also even able to record in their rooms.

He further explained that the reason for his assertion is because if these artistes are able to “blow up” with their music someday, what are the systems and structures in place to consolidate their gains and make their revenue tangible for the benefit of the artiste and their family in the long term, hence the reason for government to rather concentrate on the systems and structures in the creative arts industry.
