The day two of the 21st Edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off in a spectacular manner Saturday, 29th August, 2020 with the glitz and glamour on display on the red carpet before rapper E.L set the ball rolling with his hit song “Efa wohoben” for the commencement of the show.
There were also splendid performances from the likes of Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Adina, Kidi, King Promise, Darko vibes, Efya_Nokturnal, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, Akosua Agyapong, Rex Omar, Amandzeba and Akwaboah Jnr.
These performances were interlaced with the presentation of the various awards to winners of various categories.
The awards for the various categories and the artistes who won are as follows:
Artiste of the year- Kuami Eugene (Obiaato)
Reggae/ Dancehall song of the year- J Derobie ( Poverty)
Hip Hop song of the year – Kofi Mole (Don’t be late)
Hip life song of the year – Medikal ( Omo Ada)
Afrobeat song of the year – DopeNation (Zanku)
Gospel artiste of the year- Diana Hamilton (W’asem)
High life song of the year- Kofi Kinaata (Things fall apart)
Gospel song of the year- Celestine Donkor (Agbebolo)
Highlife artiste of the year- Kuami Eugene (Obiato)
High life/Hip Hop song of the year- Medikal (drip)
Reggae Dancehall artiste of the year- Ras Kuukuu (Wo)
Best Rapper of the year – Kwesi Arthur (Thoughts of Kwesi Arthur 5)
Best Collaboration of the year – Sarkodie ft Bright (Ofeetso)
Best New artiste – Fameye (Mati)
Album of Year – Sugar by Kidi
Vodafone Green Ambassador award – Gasmilla
Vodafone Most Popular Song of the year – Things for Apart (Kofi Kinaata)
