Former President and NDC flag bearer for the upcoming December 2020 election, H.E John Mahama in an interview on Starr fm morning show, hosted by Francis Abban has stated that musicians making music for political parties and presidential aspirants do not really amount to endorsements.
He said getting celebrities involved in campaigns leads to the distraction of their careers hence his decision not to involve celebrities in this year’s campaign for the NDC.
Despite the fact that some Ghanaian celebrities including Sarkodie and Samini have endorsed President Akufo Addo to be retained as President for another four years in the upcoming elections, the former president John Mahama said these celebrities who have done these endorsements would not change his disposition towards them because they might have their reason for such actions and he respects that.
