Ghana’s dancehall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has disclosed that after his upcoming GOGALBUM, he will retire from the music scene.
It is not really clear what has instigated this action from the SM Boss who has on countless occasion advocated for reforms and proper structures in the Ghanaian music industry, an agenda he has championed with lot of passion and tenacity even though his approach and utterances sometimes could be offensive.
In a tweet sighted by sammykaymedia.com, the serial hitmaker stated that he has made enough to go into new businesses and create employment for people who follow his course to enable them also have meaningful livelihoods.
This statement made by Shatta Wale has since attracted mixed reaction from Ghanaians with some urging him to reconsider his decision since he is the best to have ever grace the Ghanaian music scene whereas others have sarcastically stated that he can go ahead and retire, no one cares.
