Ghanaian dancehall act, Stonebwoy in a visit to the United Kingdom has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s High Commissioner to UK, H.E Papa Owusu Ankomah.
In a conversation between the two, Stonebwoy revealed to him, his highest amount of pay check gained from royalty as a musician in Ghana is GHS 2,000.
In the video sighted by sammykaymedia.com, the High Commissioner could not believe it and expressed outmost shock at Stonebwoy’s revelation, especially when almost everyday his music is played out there.
The Bhim Nation Boss who was passionately talking about the state of the creative and music industry in Ghana stated that touring in other countries as a musician is not the main thing for income generation but just a subsidiary income a musician can generate but as a result of the state of Ghana’s music industry, they have to work extra hard to survive.
