Video: I left a night club because they ignored my songs but kept playing Wizkid’s tunes back to back

Ghanaian Afro-Pop and R&B singer, Camidoh has asserted that Ghanaians should be deliberate on pushing and promoting Ghanaian musicians to the apex.

Speaking in an interview with Sammy Kay on the Go online show, the “Maria” hitmaker recounted how he was at a club in Ghana and his songs were not really played, but the moment Nigerian acts, Wizkid and Fireboy got into the same club, their songs were played back to back.

According to Camidoh, this certainly cannot be right and he feels that the clarion call being made by Shatta Wale over the years about Ghanaians placing higher value on their own musical acts should seriously not be overlooked if we really want Ghanaian music to get to rest the world.
