There have been massive resignations at Omni Media, owners of Citi FM and Citi TV. AJ Sarpong is the latest amongst top journalists and presenters who have left the station.
Just within months, some experienced hands who have made the media outlet a joy to listen and watch decided to leave en masse.
Notable names like Jessica Opare Saforo, when she announced her resignation from the station a year ago broke many hearts of many. This is because many had come to associate her with the Citi brand.
AJ Sarpong joins a long list of media personalities who have left the media company in recent months. The likes of Kojo Akoto Boateng, Olele Salvador, Kwame Dadzie, Fentuo Tahiru, and Daniel Koranteng have all left.
Just a few days after her resignation, AJ Sarpong joins Media General owners of TV3, 3FM and Onua TV. She worked for the Citi FM/TV for almost 6 years. At Citi, she hosted “Brunch In The Citi” on Citi FM and was also the host of “Hall of Fame” on Citi TV.
She also previously worked for the EIB Network. There, she hosted the daily entertainment segment on Starr FM’s Mid-Morning show. The Zone with Naa Ashorkor, as well as on TV with Kafui Dey and Baisiwaa on GH One TV’s morning show.
The affable media personality holds two Master’s degrees. One in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. The other is in Brands and Communication Management from the University of Professional Studies in Accra (UPSA).
