Allow the students to go home, life is precious than votes – Oscar Yao Doe

In a joint statement issued by Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Ghana Educations Service (GES) to update the country on confirmed cases of Covid-19 in some Senior High Schools, they revealed after ‘containment measures’ were put in place following the confirmation of the school’s first case on July 6, 2020.

Accra Girls’ Senior High School have recorded the highest number of positive cases with Fifty-five persons testing positives including students and members of staffs.

The increasing numbers at the schools have sparked some parents wanting the immediate closure of the senior high schools to prevent the escalation in numbers.

In view of this, businessman, Oscar Yao Doe has also added his voice to the call for the immediate closure of all senior high schools in Ghana.

In a post sighted on his instagram page, he stated life is precious than vote hence the need to allow students to seek comforts with their parents in this challenging time.

He queried by asking why the government is subjecting the innocent children to this wicked treatment and wondered whether “Ghana belongs to Akuffo Addo and his wicked minded cousins”.
