Earlier this year, Veteran musician and former presidential aspirant of MUSIGA, Gyedu Blay Ambulley in an interview on a radio station in Accra, made some damning allegations against Okyeame Kwame, current acting President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, Ben Brako, Tic Tac amongst others that they have each received GH¢50,000 each as a loan from former MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffuor popularly known as Obour but failed to pay back.
The veteran musician claimed that the amount was taken out of the GH¢2 million the erst-while NDC administration gave to MUSIGA in 2012 and had evidence to back his allegations.
Few days after his claim, Okyeame Kwame, through his lawyers, refuted the claim and described it as lies and falsehood, Ambolley was then given a 72-hour ultimatum to retract and apologise for the statement. The ‘rap doctor’ threatened to sue if the veteran did not comply.
After pleading for some time to do his checks, Ambolley later called the bluff of Okyeame Kwame and said he could go to court.
Well, ass sighted by sammykaymedia.com, the rapper has indeed proceeded to court to clear his name.
He wrote on one of his social media handles that they have been trying to give Ambolley a writ of summons since March 2020, but the court bailiff couldn’t find him to deliver it to him, hence has pleaded to the public to please inform the legend the court is looking for him and must report within 8 days.
