Just within a week, Fire has gutted the Kantamanto Market, Koforidua market, Asankragwa market and now a portion of the Kaneshie market in Accra.

In the early hours of Sunday, December 20, 2020, news broke out that a portion of the Kaneshie Market has been gutted fire with the cause of fire not immediately known but some of the traders have attributed the rampant fire outbreaks on arson.
Personnels from the Ghana Fire Service were there at the incident scene on time to bring the fire on top of the tall structures within the Kaneshie Market under control.
