NPP stalwart, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has sued former Minister for Science and Environment, Professor Frimpong Boateng for defamation.
In the summon of writ sighted by sammykaymedia.com, a sum of Ten Million Ghana Cedis (GHC10,000,000.00) as General Damages caused. This includes Aggravated and/or Exemplary Damages for Defamation fir libel
Gabby Otchere-Darko also demanded an apology for and retraction of the words by the cardiologist.
Also, a perpetual injunction restraining the Defendant whether by himself, his servants, agents or assigns from repeating similar or other defamatory words against the Plaintiff.
A few days ago, a report by the good old professor sighted Gabby as a defendant of company that was actively destroying the environment. Especially the forests and Rivers Offin in the Apaprama and Kobro Forest.
The assertion made against Gabby in the Galamsey report did not go down well with him hence the defamatory suit.
