“Kidi hasn’t had a stroke. Ignore the rumours …” – Richie Mensah

Social media got buzzed earlier today, after rumors surfaced online that musician Kidi has been struck down by a stroke. This information got many people worried.

According to the rumours, Kidi got ill from a stroke and it was the reason why he postponed his Golden Boy North American Tour.

Prior to the postponement of his tour, he released a post on Instagram dated, 24th February 2023 to indicate reasons for the postponement. He sighted health issues as the main cause of his postponement.

In the wake of the brouhaha, Lynx Entertainment boss, Richie Mensah has reacted.

In a tweet sighted by sammykaymedia.com, Richie debunked the false news circulating and indicated that Kidi hasn’t had a stroke.

He wrote … “KiDi hasn’t had a stroke. Ignore the rumors and the clickbait.”,

Despite Richie’s tweet many people have still expressed worry about their ‘sugar daddy’. Whereas some Ghanaians have called for prayers for him to recover speedily, others think otherwise.

One netizen wrote… “Kidi reportedly down with stroke; Goes off social media and postpones his Golden Boy North American tour ????????????,” 

Another one added … “Kidi should get well soon, he is our only hope for the Grammy”. 

Despite the rumours, the calls being made by netizens about the whereabout of “the say cheese” hitmaker is legitimate. This is because  he has not been active on social media for sometime now as well as making appearance at events.

Who is Kidi?

Kidi is a Ghanaian afrobeats and highlife singer-songwriter whose real name is Dennis Nana Dwamena. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and has several hit songs to his credit.

He is best known for his global hit single Touch It.  Also, he is one of the few Ghanaian musicians with massive streaming numbers across the world.
