Gyakie’s manager, Mirror nearly killed at Afronation concert in Portugal

Manager of Ghanaian songstress, Gyakie, Electror Mirror, has been brutally attacked at the Afronation concert in Portugal. The incident took place on Thursday, June 29, leaving Mirror in need of immediate medical attention.

In a viral video circulating on social media, Mirror seem to be badly injured as he is seen laying on the ground.

Reports indicate Mirror had an altercation with the event’s security personnel, therefore leading to his violent assault.

Talent manager, George Britton, shared the video on social media by detailing the severity of the attack. Also, he provided reliable information about the incident, confirming that Mirror had been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Whereas, the news of the unfortunate incident spreads, Ghanaians have expressed their shock and disdain at organisers of the event. And has expressed solidarity with Mirror and the affected artists.

It remains to be seen how the organizers and authorities will respond to this unfortunate incident. Hence, the spotlight is now on the festival’s security protocols and the safety of artists and attendees.

Afronation is an annual three-day music festival known for its star-studded lineup. Produced by Live Nation, Event Horizon, Smade Entertainment, and Memories of Tomorrow. It was founded in 2013 by Obi Asika and Smade in association with BBC 1 Xtra, this year’s event is being held in Portugal from June 28 to June 30, 2023.

This year’s festival boasts of an impressive roster of artists. Which includes Gyakie, Camidoh, Black Sherif, Ayra Starr. With Burna Boy, 50 Cent, and Booba headlining the event.

But, the attack on Gyakie’s has raised serious concerns about the safety and security measures at Afronation.

However, Ghanaians have sent their heartfelt regards and speedy recovery messages to Mirror.
