Video: I’m not disappointed losing Artiste of the year to Black sherif – Piesie Esther speaks

The just ended 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), saw Gospel musician, Piesie Esther loose out on the prestigious artiste of the year award.

Despite her lost, Piesie said she is not disappointed losing out on the Artiste of the Year award to Black Sherif.

Speaking in an interview with Sammy Kay, the Gospel musician said she thank God for what happened on the VGMA night.

Prior to the VGMA night, the competition was tough between Piesie and Black Sherif. Black Sherif won the converted prize.  The “Wayɛ Me Yie” hitmaker congratulated Blacko on winning the ultimate award.

When asked whether she was pleased with the awards she won on the night. She said she was more than pleased having won these two awards for the first time in 20 years.

Piesie Esther who won Best Gospel Song and Best Gospel Artiste.

Piesie has been doing music for the past 20 years. And had not received any of these awards, hence winning these award is a big and incredible feat for her.

“I am grateful. I want to thank everyone who voted for me,” Esther said.

The 24th edition of this year’s VGMA organised by Charterhouse took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
