Sarkodie reacts to his cigar photos, says it is respectful for people to tell him to apologize

Multiple award winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie real name Michael Owusu Addo has reacted to criticism by some section of the Ghanaian media and social media users on his cigar smoking pictures on his social media.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s “Daybreak hit” Monday, August 2, as monitored by sammykaymedia.com, Sarkodie disagreed with the organizations and individuals criticising him that he is negatively influencing the youth and explained that they could have done better and not wait for long to now come out and rant because of his respected status and standing in society.

According to Sarkodie, his “cigar smoking” photos are just artistry which signifies achievement hence strongly disagree with the calls made by some civil organizations that he should apologize to Ghanaians, a statement he claims he finds it disrespectful to his person.

He however admitted that smoking causes a lot of health challenges to the body and stated that on a regular day you would not find him holding a cigar.
