Video: My Artiste Empress Vee can win Grammys for Ghana – Quappiah

Budding musician, Empress Vee during an interview with Sammy Kay has stated that, she will win Grammys for Ghana. Her manager, Quappiah confidently alluded that if Ghanaians offer their support to her, she will go far.

Also, he stated that based on her work ethics the talented songstress will one day be a Grammy Award winner. An award every Ghanaian will take pride in.

The Ghanaian media space has over the years held conversations of which mainstream artiste will win the Grammys. This has been a continuous conversation among many industry players.

The concerns are legitimate and comes from the backdrop that Ghana have some finest and talented musicians. Yet, they are unable to gain global recognition.

Empress Vee has promised to be the one to take us there. Currently, she has two singles to her credit and has recently released a new track titled “hat”. The song is a danceable tune which can be played at all times.

Ghanaian musicians ever nominated for Grammys

The list below are some Ghanaian artistes who have won or been nominated for the Grammys.

Rocky Dawuni has been nominated for Best Reggae Album on 3 occasions.

Also, in 2018 Killbeats won the producer of the year on Edsheeran’s Divide album “Bebia b3y3 yie”.

In addition, FuseODG however won the songwriter in 2018 on the Divide album as one of the hit tracks.

However in 2021, Stonebwoy was shortlisted for his participation as a featured artist on three albums. These albums are “Pamoja” by Etana, “Live N Livin” by Sean Paul and “Royal”  by Jesse Royal. Each song got a nomination in the “Best Reggae Album” category.

The names are some Ghanaians who have made it so far onto the Grammys.
