2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Award Unsung category winners, Dark Suburb in collaboration with Awake T.V are coming up with a band reality show dubbed “Bands Culture”.
Speaking in a press conference at the premises of Awake T. V, leader of the group took the opportunity to clear the misconception about the devilish tag associated with the group, just because they are usually seen performing in skeleton masks.
He stated, the “dark suburb” band represents the dark suburb of Ghana, that’s the underprivileged Zongo community hence their desire and motive to express their music in way to represent the routes of their origin.
Speaking on the bands culture reality show, he said, the bands culture will be a blend of both exhibition of talents, passion for live band music by participant and a learning experience for better appreciation of music by all the participating bands.
Winners of the 12 weeks competition which begins soon after the audition face likely to commence in August will receive a cash prize of Ghs 5000, a recording deal and other souvenirs from sponsors.
