The public outburst against Accra 100.5 Fm’s presenter, Nana Romeo has been massive on some main stream media platforms and social media.
As peoples views and opinions differ as to whether he was right or wrong about his public chastisement and embarrassment to kidi for showing up late in an interview on his radio show, the host himself has revealed the reason for his action.
Speaking in an interview with Sammy Kay on the Go online show, Nana Romeo said his intention wasn’t to tarnish the Enjoyment hitmaker’s image or belittle him but the cracks of the issue was that, this wasn’t the first time kidi has reported late for an interview on his program and to him he feels very offended about that because radio shows and programming is all about time and can’t allow this to continue especially when this is not kidi’s first time of being prompted about his lateness.
According to Nana Romeo, calls being made by some celebrities for him to apologize to Kidi is not right because he did not do slap, insult or hit him. He added that Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie would have gotten the same treatment if they repeated coming to interview late on his show because it’s one of the biggest problems presenters face with artistes.
He said he spoke boldly about an issue and ask Kidi why he keeps on showing up late for his scheduled and booked interviews with him.
He compared his encounter with Kidi to that of the Ghanaian celebrities meet and greet fiasco with Cardi -B last year, and stated that time is precious hence one get furious and angry when his or her time is taken for granted.
